The social heart of our hotel, The Garden is our relaxed coffee house by day and a place to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail by night. A verdant inner courtyard where eyes turn to the skies, whatever the forecast.

Order at the counter and choose from colourful seasonal salads or freshly baked focaccia – filled as a sandwich or served on a sharing board with handmade dips and house pickles.

Coffee comes courtesy of Edinburgh roaster Santu, using beans grown in Espírito Santo, Brazil – a tiny, mountainous region where dramatic variations in altitude, terrain and climate produce an extraordinary range of award-winning speciality coffees. Enjoy yours hot, iced or cold brewed, with collagen, lion’s mane or ashwagandha available if your supplements didn’t make the suitcase.

As afternoon turns to evening, coffee gives way to spritzes, cocktails and glasses of wine – and The Garden finds its second wind.

The Garden Summer House

We’re bringing a taste of the other East Coast to Edinburgh with Hampton Water’s award-winning Languedoc rosé, created by Jon Bon Jovi, Jesse Bongiovi and celebrated French winemaker Gérard Bertrand. Pull up a seat for chilled rosé and a curated menu of cocktails and spritzes made for long summer afternoons.

Pair yours with seriously loaded crisps, cool down with a boozy popsicle cocktail and stay for our summer soundtrack, with live DJs every Thursday from 5–8pm. Heading out? Pick up wine or our grown-up take on a Capri-Sun cocktail pouch from the Rose Street cart—made for festival mooching.
