Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel is an ideal base for exploring the Scottish capital. Whether you’re looking to arrange a private tour of Mary Kings Close, lounge over drinks at Bramble Bar & Lounge on Queen Street, or meet friends for six-course meal at Timberyard, you’ll never be far from where you need to go. Our address is located right by the historic museums and attractions of Old Town; the shops, restaurants, bars, and gardens of New Town; and Waverley, the train station that connects them.
The nearest train station is Edinburgh Waverley Station and is only half a mile, or a 15-minute walk, from the hotel. It has direct service to the London King’s Cross railway station. Getting a taxi from the station takes approximately 5 minutes, and the fare is between £6 and £8.
Kimpton Charlotte Square offers a valet parking service for our guests in a secure underground car park beneath the hotel (subject to availability). Valet parking must be reserved in advance directly with the hotel by contacting email@example.com and is available for the price of £35 per 24h period.
To use our valet parking service, enter into your sat nav or maps app ‘130 George Street, Edinburgh EH2 4JZ’. Outside our restaurant BABA, there is a designated loading bay. Please park there and pop around the corner to Kimpton Charlotte Square’s main entrance, where the front of house team will collect your car and luggage whilst getting you checked-in.
Alternatively, street parking is free between 6:30pm – 8.30am every day, and on Sunday parking charges apply from 12.30 – 18.30. Outside of these hours there is a maximum parking time of three hours for £5.00 per hour. We also have a relationship with the NCP Car Park at Castle Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2EW which is a 7min walk from the hotel. Before departure we can give you ticket which will discount the price at the machine (price varies on window of parking)
